Dry Fruits (Nuts and Seeds) and their benefits

Dry fruits have been a popular source of vitamins and nutrients for people of all ages. They make a great snack, can be added to any food, and contain many essential nutrients. In many Indian households, mothers struggle to get their children to eat dry fruits daily. However, simply consuming dry fruits as they are may not provide children with the complete amount of nutrients found in them. Soaking dry fruits in water has been a traditional method for increasing their nutrient absorption. Soaking the dry fruits for 6-8 hours removes phytic acid, a chemical that slows down nutrient absorption by the body. As a result, the nutrients present in the nuts and seeds become available easily and are quickly absorbed by the body. Pueritia offers Soaky 7-in-1, a soaked dry fruit powder made from seven highly nutritious nuts and seeds. This powder is perfect for giving your child their daily dose of nutrition. Soaky is much easier on children's stomachs than dry fruits and their powders. It can be given to infants as young as 8 months old without concerns about gas and bloating. We pay close attention to the ingredients used to prepare our soaked dry fruit powder. It is essential to consider the nutritional requirements of growing children when making this powder. Soaky is mindfully prepared to meet these nutritional demands. Soaked Dry Fruits

Here are the nutrients and benefits of each ingredient present in the powder:

ย Almonds

Almonds have long been a staple in the dried fruit platter. They are rich in vitamin E, healthy fats, protein, fiber, magnesium, and calcium. Consuming almonds daily can reduce blood sugar levels, blood pressure, and cholesterol. Almonds are also recommended for children as it aids in brain development, bone health, and improves the immune system. Snacking on almonds can reduce feelings of hunger, promoting weight loss.

Cashews

Cashews are not just part of the dried fruit platter, they are often used as main cooking ingredients in lavish Indian dishes. They are a powerhouse of vitamins and minerals, including vitamins B6 and E, minerals like copper, magnesium, and zinc, as well as healthy fats. Cashew nuts support growth and development, boost immune function, aid in digestion, and promote healthy skin and hair. However, they should not be consumed in excess.

Walnuts

Walnuts are a great source of essential fats and minerals. They contain omega-3 fatty acids, antioxidants, protein, fiber, vitamins B6 and E, magnesium, and phosphorus. Like almonds and cashew nuts, walnuts are recommended for children for brain development and function, improved immune system, digestion, and heart health.

Pumpkin Seeds
