Raw homemade almond butter 🧈

Homemade almond butter is healthy, delicious, and super easy to make. It costs a lot more to buy in stores than to source your organic almonds in bulk and make at home. Almond butter is a great addition to smoothies, and desserts and spreads beautifully on toast or on a slice of organic apple. It’s great for lunchboxes and makes a healthy snack for the kiddos.   Almonds are an excellent source of several essential nutrients that children need for healthy growth and development. They are packed with protein, healthy fats, fiber, vitamins, and minerals such as calcium, iron, and zinc. They are also a good source of antioxidants, which can help protect against oxidative stress and inflammation in the body. It is essential to choose organic almonds, which are grown without the use of harmful chemicals like glyphosate and propylene oxide. Propylene oxide is a known carcinogen, and it has been linked to respiratory issues and skin irritation. Organic farmers use natural methods to control pests and diseases, making it a healthier and more sustainable choice for you and the environment. By choosing organic almonds, you can reduce your exposure to toxic chemicals and support sustainable farming practices. Ingredients:
  • 4 cups raw organic almonds ( we like these from our friends @activearthfood - they are organic, raw, activated, and taste amazing ).
  •  3 tbsp of avocado oil 🥑
  • Add the oil to your blender container, then the nuts.
  • Place the lid on your high-speed blender and remove the cap. Insert the tamper through the lid. Turn the blender on high and use the tamper to continuously push down on the almonds, particularly in the corners. After one minute, you’ll have almond butter.
  • Transfer the almond butter to an airtight container and store in the refrigerator.
